What We Do

Protect and assist those who are exploited, victims of violence or in crisis,
so they may feel safe as they start their journey of recovery

Our Transitional Home provides

A safe space for individuals who seek assistance

A place for victims to live semi-independently, regain self-confidence and dignity

A safe environment conducive for the rehabilitation of victims from their initial trauma

A place to prepare victims for reintegration into society

Vision

An environment where women are respected and free from exploitation and violence

Mission

Protect and assist women who are exploited, trafficked, vulnerable or in crisis, so they may feel safe as they start their journey of recovery

With grateful thanks

Persatuan Pembela Wanita Pulau Pinang is deeply grateful to Gudbjørg og Ejnar Honorés Fond for generously providing our organisation with core funding support since early 2023.

The funding received in 2023 was instrumental in enabling Persatuan Pembela Wanita Pulau Pinang to embark on the project of opening a Transitional Home to support women and their children in crisis.

In 2024, the funding ensured the continuity of Persatuan Pembela Wanita Pulau Pinang and helped strengthen the organisation’s mission.

Gudbjørg og Ejnar Honorés Fond has continued their support in 2025, and Persatuan Pembela Wanita Pulau Pinang greatly appreciates this commitment to our cause.

We are honoured to have you as a partner in this journey.

Gudbjørg og Ejnar Honorés Fond

Persatuan Pembela Wanita Pulau Pinang was a recipient of the Human Rights Grant 2024 from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kuala Lumpur for the duration May 2024 to December 2024.

The Grant enhanced the living space and facilities at Persatuan Pembela Wanita’s Transitional Home and provided for the installation of all necessary health and safety infrastructure requirements.

In addition, this Grant also enabled Persatuan Pembela Wanita to provide training in casual skills and personal development for residents admitted to the Transitional Home.

This Grant has made a significant impact in Persatuan Pembela Wanita’s journey to strengthen the organisation’s ability to support women and their children in crisis in Penang and northern Malaysia.

Persatuan Pembela Wanita Pulau Pinang wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kuala Lumpur, for their support in granting Persatuan Pembela Wanita Pulau Pinang the Human Rights Grant 2024.
